A Brief Introduction
I live with my wife Marianne in the small town of Barrhead, just outside Glasgow, in Scotland. We have five children between us. Kerry, Holly, Corin and Liam spend the week from Monday to Friday with their mother Karen in Dunfermline and come to stay with us at weekends. Deanne lives with her mother, Marianne, together with me and the cat, Susi, and the rabbit, Bubbles. I work for the National Health Service as an accountant. I have been a Director of Finance of two NHS Trusts and a Board member. I am now Head of Finance for Facilities for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
My main interests include active participation in road running (with respectable club runner standard ‘Personal Bests’ at marathon, half marathon, 10km and other distances), and, as a member of the local David Lloyd Club, in tennis, badminton and gym. I am a lifelong supporter of Charlton Athletic F.C. and Kent County Cricket Club. Since 1989 I have been a fan of the Pars (Dunfermline Athletic F.C.). I also have an interest in science fiction, a wide range of music, travel and life in general. I live a very busy life with never enough time to do everything but plenty of variety to keep it interesting.
